These days you can’t throw a stick without hitting a superhero, but no matter how many do-gooders flood the big and small screens, good villains are always hard to find. For the minds behind The CW’s take on The Flash, that problem’s being solved by making their hero the real problem in the show’s third season by revealing that it’s his selfish re-writing of history that’s posing one of the biggest threats of the so-called ‘Flashpoint’ timeline. But it won’t be the only threat he faces.
Thanks to some insider information, we may now know the names and descriptions of the latest batch of new cast members. It’s not yet official, but from these breakdowns it sounds like comic book fans will soon get not one, but two classic members of the speedster’s Rogues Gallery: Mirror Master and Top. Not only that, but Barry and Wally may have another meta human antihero to deal with in the split-personality Rose and Thorn.
The details come courtesy of The Hashtag Show, who managed to get their hands on casting breakdowns for the three characters (along with the same for Caitlin Snow’s mother, a role since given to Susan Walters). With three of the DC Comics hero’s most well-known Rogues having already shown up in the show Weather Wizard, Captain Cold and Heat Wave the fan demand for Mirror Master a.k.a. Sam Scudder has only been growing. But assuming that plenty of fans of the TV series will want to get the details and some context, we’re breaking each of the roles being cast and their almost-certain comic book counterparts starting with the reflecting Rogue himself.
