The Vampire Diaries season 6 Finale Elena will die?

The Vampire Diaries season 6 is coming to an end, and fans will sure be grieving over the exit of their favorite star Elena Gilbert, who will say her final goodbye in the finale episode titled: I'll Wed You in the Golden Summertime.

Until now, fans were of the opinion that Nina Dobrev's character will turn human with Bonnie's cure for vampirism and then may leave Mystic Falls forever.

But the recently released promo of the season 6 final episode of The CW supernatural series narrates a shockingly different story. It is hints at Elena's death!

In the penultimate episode, the fans saw the return of the evil Kai from the prison world, who crashes Alaric and Jo's wedding and in a shocking twist, stabs Elena who is now human.

In the promo, the Gilbert daughter is seen hospitalized in an unconscious state, while the love of her life, Damon appears distraught asking the malevolent witch, "What did you do to my damn girlfriend?"

Caroline, Bonnie and Stefan are also shocked with the entire incident. Later, they all are seen standing near a coffin and Caroline asks everyone to "join hands, close your eyes, and just let her into your thoughts".

This clearly proves that Elena will indeed be killed off on the show.

Meanwhile, the malevolent witch's return, is not good news for Damon and Bonnie, as they are responsible for the trauma he suffered at the hands of the blood hungry vampires in the prison world of 1903.

The Vampire Diaries Season 6 Episode 15 "Let Her Go" Recap

A flashback stats the scene in the previous episode of the vampire diaries shows Liz Forbes assuring her young daughter, Caroline, that she will be all grown up and fine the time for her to die comes. Caroline wakes up at the Salvatore mansion surrounded by her friends.

Caroline is dreaming of the time she learned how to ride a bike, and wakes up in the living room of the Salvatore mansion surrounded by all her friends. She goes to the kitchen to find Damon working on the eulogy, but he’s having trouble. He tries to bond with her, but she doesn’t want to, and that’s when he gives her some solid advice about when the worst day of her life will come, and it won’t be the funeral. In full Caroline style, she assigns everyone a job to do for the funeral. While getting ready, Stefan asks Damon for his help about what he should do with Caroline since he hasn’t been able to talk to her about the kiss. And while Caroline is out with Elena, she also asks for her help about what to do.

Caroline confronts Stefan before the funeral, but he says he wants to wait until after the day is over to talk to her about that stuff. Then Tyler shows up, drunk, to the church, but Matt doesn’t let him in. Despite all the trouble he had, Damon manages to write and give a beautiful eulogy speech. And after the speech, Caroline sings a song for her mother, where Stefan realizes just how in love with her he is. Afterwards, they hold a wake for the Sheriff at the Mystic Grill and Tyler shows up sober, where Matt tells him that he’s applying to be a deputy and wants Tyler to apply, too.

Caroline goes home to be alone, but Elena shows up to talk to her about how she’s worried for her. Elena realizes that Caroline was planning to turn off her emotional switch, and she tries to talk her out of it. Caroline says that her experience without feelings is going to be different than Elena’s, so Caroline breaks Elena’s neck to stop her from trying to stop the switch from being pulled.

Unfortunately for Stefan, he realizes too late that he wants to tell Caroline his true feelings, because when he gets to Caroline’s house, he finds Elena’s limp body and Caroline out of sight.

Jo has food poisoning and Alaric is helping her try to feel better when Kai shows up asking for Jo’s help. He’s coughing up blood and says that since he didn’t merge with HIS twin (Luke), now he’s dying, which is why Jo is sick. If he dies then so does the entire coven, including Jo and Live, so of course they try to help him.

Kai feels better when he accidentally absorbs some of Jo’s powers and realizes he needs her powers to stay alive, and then he springs another surprise on everyone: The Gemini coven is responsible for the prison worlds, YES, PLURAL, and if he dies then the worlds will collapse.

Jo does decide to give Kai her powers, which saves him, and afterwards he says congratulations and whispers something into her ear before he leaves. What was it? That Jo is pregnant! And after she tells Alaric, he proposes to her, which she says no to because she doesn’t do a pity proposal. But then Alaric pulls out a ring and tells her he was planning it all along, and she says yes!

In 1994 Bonnie gets back to the Salvatore mansion with Silas’ headstone, and she has her magic back! She plans to travel back to her time and place at 12:28 that day, but just as she gets ready to do the spell in the cave there’s a small earthquake and the day turns into night and it starts snowing.

The northern lights then appear above her and she’s transported to an entirely new place in the year 1903. She sees a house and enters it, and finds a framed picture of Stefan and Damon on the desk. But then as Jo is doing her spell to give Kai her powers, Bonnie’s surroundings keep switching from her place in 1903 to Mystic Falls in 1994.

Bonnie decides to go ahead with the spell since both the Northern Lights and the eclipse are recurring events and she only has a minute left before the eclipse is over. Just before she gets transported, she sees a woman dressed in Victorian clothing, who asks Bonnie who she is. Bonnie doesn’t get to answer before she’s whisked off like Damon was when he was brought back to present day.

During the entire episode Damon has flashbacks of him and Stefan preparing for their mother’s funeral, and a young Stefan tells Damon that their mother’s angel/ghost came to Stefan in his sleep to tell him everything will be all right. He also remembers a crying Stefan after the funeral, who tells him that he should have said something about their mother there.

Then at the end of the episode Damon goes home to find pancakes in his kitchen, and Bonnie is back! She tells him about where she ended up in 1903 and shows him the footage she accidentally caught of the woman, and he tells her that’s his mother.

The Vampire Diaries Season 6 Episode 14 Recap A Devastating Goodbye Again

Saying it was a night of emotion on The Vampire Diaries wouldn’t exactly be accurate for this week’s episode. With Caroline worrying about the last moments of her mother’s life combined with Elena struggling to let go of her brother, let’s just say there wasn’t a dry eye after the episode. Let’s start with the moment that I’ve been waiting for since season two Stefan and Caroline finally kissed. After she reached into his tight jeans’ pocket to answer his cell phone, we knew it was only a matter of time.

Meanwhile, while Caroline planned a surprise for her mom, Sheriff Forbes didn’t want to leave anything behind when she left so she spent her last days trying to solve the rest of her open cases, with the help of trusty Damon, her BFF. However she quickly found out that the mysteries she was trying to solve were actually all his doing except the Gilberts’ car crash. She desperately searched for a reason through years-old voicemails and clues that she hoped would provide a reason.

Unfortunately, there wasn’t one, and she was forced to deal with the fact that, “Sometimes really terrible things happen to really amazing people.” Damon took her home and tucked her in, telling her that he never even attended his mother’s funeral so she asked him to write her eulogy. With that, she lost consciousness and was rushed to the hospital.

However, after tucking her in, the Sheriff loses consciousness and is rushed to the hospital. A hysterical Caroline comes rushing in and I have to pause for a shout out to Candice Accola who literally tore our hearts out with her running into the hospital scene. It definitely felt more than real. Of course, with Stefan by her side, she’s distraught over the fact that she didn’t get to say goodbye. But he shows her how to hold her mom’s hand, go back to a favorite memory to let go. With that, we flash back to Sheriff Forbes teaching her how to ride her bike. “Don’t let go, I’m not ready,” kid Caroline says and Sheriff Forbes lets go, muttering, “Yes you are.”

With that, Caroline is able to say goodbye. And she flatlines, surrounded by Stefan, Damon, Elena and Matt.

Meanwhile, Jeremy spends his last few days at Mystic Falls with a “going away party” that consists of Damon and Matt, before smoking a joint with Elena. Talk about sibling bonding. Unfortunately, it’s cut short with the return of Enzo who almost curb stomps him.

What’s Enzo doing you ask? Well, still messing with Sarah Salvatore she even sent him to see Matt and directed them to come to a bridge in Mystic Falls. Somehow, she’s fine with hanging out with these strange men. That is until Enzo runs over Matt with his car. He didn’t die though, Enzo fed him his blood to revive him then disappeared leaving a terrified Sarah.

But back to Jer. It was time to go — he wanted to head to art school and start fresh: so he said his goodbyes and Alaric took him to the “airport.” Except, it was the bus stop — because he wasn’t going to art school, he was going to hunt vampires in Santa Fe.

“You found your purpose, so you might as well pursue it,” Alaric said and hugged him goodbye.

The Vampire Diaries Season 6 Episode 13 Can Bonnie Be Saved?

In the previous episode of The Vampire Diaries Prayer For The Dying Sheriff Liz Forbes remained alive. But wonder twin Luke lost his life acting as a hero to Jo and now fans are left to wonder if another major death is on the horizon and just can't predict who might be the next to be dead in the vampire diaries season 6.

The Vampire Diaries Season 6 Episode 6 Sum Up

The vampire diaries season 6 makes a new twists in what happen to Bonnie and Damon but somehow and finally he is back in the real world. What about Bonnie? isn’t exactly the reaction Damon was hoping to get from Elena upon his return on Thursday’s Vampire Diaries. Her literally jumping out the window to avoid him was merely the icing on his three-layer cake of disappointment.

But because Elena’s always been a flip-flopper it’s my favorite quality of hers, second only to her ability to make family members magically disappear she decided she wanted Alaric to un-compel her into remembering her love for Damon. This would have been a solid plan, had a freak incident not stripped Alaric of his vampirism, and with it, the ability to jog Elena’s memory.

It looks like Damon’s going to have to win Elena’s heart back the old-fashioned way, and if it means more of these incredible drawings, I’m all in:

There’s always been something off about Alaric’s new boo, and this week, Elena finally put her finger on it: Jo is a witch! To be fair, Elena didn’t exactly stumble upon this conclusion all by herself. “I know what Alaric is and I know what you are,” Jo told her point-blank after catching Elena checking her coffee for vervain. And while it seemed her bewitching nature would derail her relationship with Alaric, it might actually be the one thing keeping them together; she followed him during Operation: Save Damon and kept him alive after a devastating attack. Unfortunately, because this all went down beyond the Mystic Falls border, Alaric is no longer an all-powerful vampire capable of compulsion.

Speaking of new boos, Jeremy’s lady friend or is she Matt‘s lady friend? continued investigating her parents, now known to be Zach Salvatore and Gail Somethingstein. Matt delivered the comforting news that all of her remaining family members are bloodsucking monsters, but something tells me that won’t deter Sarah from sticking around for a bit. Anyone think they know what she’s really up to? Because I haven’t the foggiest.

Raise your hand if you thought Stefan and Caroline’s big confrontation at the end of the episode was going to result in a kiss. … Oh, everyone? Well, it didn’t. “After all this, I don’t want to be friends anymore,” she told him, at which point she was supposed to say, “I want to be more.” But she didn’t say that. She didn’t say anything. She just stormed off into the night, leaving Stefan sad and alone once again. Could Steroline really be over before it even began?

And then there’s Jeremy, poor hulky, broody Jeremy. He’s always been an emotional wreck, but now that he’s accepting Bonnie’s gone forever she’s not, by the way he’s going H.A.M. on everyone and everything, especially his battered cell phone. That poor little guy never stood a chance.

The Vampire Diaries Spoilers Season 6 Episode 6 Synopsis The More You Ignore Me the Closer I Get

The Vampire Diaries Season 6 episode 6 promise some great action and intrigue on next week’s show. Tonight’s on CW my favorite series, The Vampire Diaries aired episode 5 and it was all sorts of intense, Elena doesn’t want her memories of Damon back but she may need them since he’s finally back from the dead. Stefan’s off the rails but the return of his brother just might save him. We cannot wait till the next episode.

With Homecoming around the corner, Elena invited Liam to attend a party at the corn maze with her. Instead of attending the homecoming festivities, Caroline was preoccupied after Stefan showed up unexpectedly and needed her help cleaning up a mess created by Enzo. Heeding Elena’s advice to be more social, Alaric reluctantly attended the party, but a devastating accident quickly left him and Jo rushing to save lives. Elsewhere, Tyler found himself in a dangerous position when his werewolf curse was put to the test, and an emotionally embattled Stefan came clean to Caroline about his intent to move on from Mystic Falls. Lastly, Damon and Bonnie made an important discovery that affected their quest to get back home.

“A rescue in the might When Alaric realizes that Jocan’t be compelled, he asks Elena to do some digging into her background. After learning that Enzo has been captured by Tripp, Caroline teams up with Matt and Stefan to rescue him before Tripp learns their true identities. Armed with some new information about her past, Sarah breaks into Tripp’s office and is surprised when she finds Matt there, doing some investigating of his own. The Vampire Season 6 Episode 5 The World Has Turned and Left Me Here Sum Up

Gear up your night every Thursday night with the vampire diaries season 6 in the the previous episode of the series, Stefan awakes to his phone ringing as Tripp tells him Enzo pointed him toward Savannah, GA, where Stefan is currently shacked up with his newbie vampire girlfriend. Ivy freaks out a little over Stefan’s distinct lack of helpfulness, and he snaps her neck after she comes at him rather ferociously.

Stefan barges into Caroline’s dorm looking for a babysitter for Ivy so he can get her a daylight ring from Luke. Caroline, reluctantly, agrees.

Alaric is in his element talking about the history of Whitmore’s Homecoming festivities. He wraps up his lecture with a little advice. “Never fall in love, especially with your brother’s girl.” Methinks he may be drawing from reality a little there.

Damon is chock full of hope which leaves Bonnie to be skeptical of their chance out of 1994. Damon is all set to kill anyone that gets in his way, but first they need to get the spell and the Ascendant from Kai. Damon starts digging into the tunnels while Kai skips off to town to gather some ‘supplies.’

Ivy and Caroline discuss all things Stefan, and Ivy is ready to get out of there. She’s gotten through Vampire 101 with Caroline, and now she wants to see how the whole snatch, eat, erase thing works in the real world. Ivy distracts Caroline with Scrabble and then snaps her neck and whooshes out of the dorm.

Stefan tells Alaric that he procured the daylight ring for Ivy from Luke (must be nice to play the ‘you’re responsible for my brother’s death’ card), and now he wants Alaric to compel Ivy to forget him so he can make a fresh start somewhere else. Alaric isn’t having it and Stefan tries to lay on the guilt because Alaric helped Elena. It’s a no go.

Just as Damon hits paydirt, Kai returns to the scene. He gathered a few things to take back with him (Zima, ARod’s rookie card, a pager?). He and Bonnie have a little spat where she challenges him to either give her the spell or make good on his threats to take her magic and kill her. He starts to take her magic and then stops. Bonnie realizes that Kai doesn’t know the spell, which means that they don’t need him. She hits him square in the chest with the pickax.

Tyler, who is driving while reading a text, hits a boy that Ivy drank from and skids off the road. He is knocked unconscious and his truck continues to plow into the corn maze, directly toward the bonfire. Alaric takes the doctor out of the way just in the knick of time.

Tyler survives the crash and climbs out of his truck only to find the young man that he hit bleeding on the ground. Tyler knows that if this kid dies, he will trigger his werewolf curse. Back in the maze, Liam is helping a girl injured in the crash, but Elena sends him off to help someone else and she gives the girl her blood to heal her.

Elena gets a phone call from Tyler, who hasn’t yet realized that he drove through the corn maze. When she regales him with this detail, he asks her what he’s supposed to do. She tells him to keep the boy he hit awake and she will get to him as soon as she can find Alaric. Caroline is wandering the streets looking for Ivy, and Stefan appears. He was on his way out of town after leaving Ivy’s daylight ring on Caroline’s doorstep. After reaming him out for almost dumping his vampire ex on her, Caroline and Stefan have it out again. He tells her how frustrating it is that he can’t just escape and start fresh, and she tells him that just a short time ago, she was hoping for Damon’s return so Stefan would come back to her. Damon is drinking Zima while Bonnie tells him all about her theories for escape. She thinks that with the Ascendant in her hands, she has all they need to get out of there. One VERY short spell later, Bonnie realizes that Kai didn’t kill her because he needed a Bennett to escape this prison.

The eclipse nears it’s apex, and one spell later the Ascendant opens up. Bonnie and Damon have a moment, and then BAM! Kai shoots her with an arrow out of nowhere. Damon whooshes to Bonnie’s side as Kai goes for the Ascendant. Bonnie warns Damon and he whooshes again to get to the artifact before Kai can run off. Bonnie scoops it up as the other two wrestle on the ground.

With the boy Tyler hit barely holding on, Tyler freaks out a little on Liv. She smothers the boy before he can die of natural causes. Tyler is no longer responsible for the boy’s death, and his curse remains untriggered.

Back at the maze, Elena is seconds away from offering up a little vampire blood to help a girl, but Liam traches the girl with a pen. With an open airway, the girl can now breathe easy, and it seems Tyler can too. No losses on his conscience. Before Liam and Elena leave, Liam notices the girl he couldn’t save earlier walking away. Bonnie knows she isn’t gonna make it out of there, so she uses a spell to get Damon in the proper location with the Ascendant and sends him back to the present in a shocking white light. She smiles as he is drawn up out of their prison, and then collapses on the ground.

Hopped up on painkillers, Jo tells Alaric that she finds him incredibly attractive and counts off his many fine attributes. After compelling her to find him boring and basically disgusting, she kisses him and ignores his compulsion.

Ivy is waiting on Caroline to arrive when Tripp shows up. He sees her covered in blood and mistakes her for a victim of the crash. He approaches her, she attacks, and he hits her with three tranquilizer darts. He loads her into the back of his van as Caroline watches helplessly.

Tyler finds Liv cleaning up at work where he confronts her about what she did for him. He tries to make her feel better about killing that boy to save him. He promises her that he won’t waste her sacrifice.

Stefan goes to the Salvatore crypt for a little one-on-one with his brother. He starts talking out loud about how he isn’t faring so well without him. Stefan throws a bottle against the wall, and Damon falls into the crypt just in time to catch it. He speaks straight to him and says, “It’s a hell of a long story brother, but I’m back.” Stefan can’t believe his eyes and they hug it out as Stefan bursts into tears along with the rest of us.

The Vampire Diaries Season 6 Episode 4 Sum Up

While Damon and Bonnie try to figure out how Kai can get them out of his personal hell,a shocking secret is revealed that pieces a lot together. Thought The Vampire Diaries love triangles could not get anymore complicated? Well, they can they really, really can. Elena set out to figure out what Stefan has been up to in Georgia, and while yes he does purpose he also reveals to her the truth about her feelings for Damon.

The Vampire Diaries Season 6 Damon Parties Like It’s 1994. In order to get to the other side, Damon has to head back and relive his worst day ever May 10, 1994. During the flashback, Damon returns home to Stefan after feeding in NYC. Their cousin, Zach Salvatore, had taken over the home and Damon tries to fit back in but just starts feeding on everyone. He actually ended up killing Zach’s pregnant wife right in front of them. Long story short, Damon wasn’t the nicest. This is why he killed Zach last year, because he couldn’t stand to look at him anymore and relive it all.

Meanwhile, back in present day on the Other Side, we realize learn that Kai is actually the reason for this “Other Side” it was created by his family, the Gemini Coven, when he murdered all of his witch family members.

After Bonnie finds out about Kai’s murderous past, she refuses to go through with the spell to get them all over. Ugh, doesn’t she miss Jeremy! Anyway, Kai flips out on her and Damon comes to her defense because as much as they hate each other, they’re totally BFFs. Oh, and he doesn’t need them to get back, so either they do it all together… or he goes back and leaves them there forever.

Elena decides to run away with Stefan to see how exactly he starts over, since she thinks he’s just running away. So, to do that, he shows them how to create new identities for them both. He turns into Stefan Cooper who purposes to Elena Williams — adorable. During this trip, the spark is definitely reignited between the two, while they awkwardly avoid talking about Damon. Stefan still doesn’t know that he has been erased from Elena’s mind, but no one really needs to spell it out for him. We always knew he was the smart Salvatore.

After Elena says her goodbyes, Stefan gets into a bar fight just to feel again and Elena luckily comes back because she “forgot her jacket.” After that, Stefan couldn’t hold back — so he just told her everything: that Alaric compelled her to forget Damon and that she used to be in love with him.

Elena calmly returned home to Alaric and told her she knew. So, he gave her the journal she wrote to herself Elena with Damon’s memory writing to Elena now, basically saying ‘Please don’t go back, start over.’ To that, she agreed. But,we know that she can have Alaric bring back those memories at anytime which I’m hoping is sooner rather than later.

As for Stefan well, he gets an interesting surprise: the return of Ivy, his girlfriend who Enzo did not kill, but actually just turned into a vampire.

While not helping Elena, Alaric tries to get into Jeremy’s psyche to help him. That included another run in with Jo, the cute doctor who he’s clearly attracted to. Jeremy finally opens up to Alaric, which resulted in Alaric opening up too. Basically, they’ve both lost everyone that they love so they just fought in the woods. Fine by me.

However, Jeremy was not alone when he returned home. Sarah was there, and she wanted answers as to her father was. Confused? Well, in Damon’s flashback, his cousin’s pregnant wife he killed? Oh, she was pregnant with her. Yes, Jeremy was sleeping with Stefan and Damon’s cousin’s daughter . . . after Elena slept with both Stefan and Damon. So, Jeremy and Elena were both sleeping with Salvatores. This is getting a little creepy.

If you’re opposed to spoilers and haven’t yet devoured the season 6 premiere episode, then definitely take a few moments to read the highlights or take so many moments to watch the episode for you.

During episode one, we saw Elena coping with the loss of Damon, her vampire lover who didn’t make it back across from the Other Side, and choose to return to Whitmore College — because it’s VERY important she get a university education during all the chaos in her adorable little life. Caroline was desperate to find a way to reverse the anti-magic spell the Travelers put over Mystic Falls and grew frustrated when her calls to Stefan went unanswered.

Tyler, who is human once again, had a run-in at a football tailgate, which tested his ability to control his anger. Our poor ol’ favorite Mystic Falls human, Matt, worried for his best friend, Jeremy. He was particularly worried that he’s choosing to deal with the loss of Bonnie, his former flame and lover, in a self-destructive way.

What did you think of tonight’s episode? On next week’s episode, according to the official CW press release…The Vampire Diaries season 6 episode 2 “Yellow Ledbetter”: “Knowing she needs to come to terms with the loss of Damon, Elena is going to turn to Alaric to help her move on with her life. Enzo is going to convince Caroline to join him as he tracks down a lead to get Damon and Bonnie back, but Caroline will be shocked when they make an unexpected detour and uncover what Stefan has been up to.”

It also seems as if Matt will continue to worry about Jeremy, who’s chosen to spend time with a mysterious new Mystic Falls arrival, who goes by the name of Sarah. Vampire Diaries Season 6 Episode 1 Shocking Damon And Elena Twist Revealed

The Mystic Falls gang is back except not all of them are allowed in Mystic Falls. The Vampire Diaries season 6 premiered on the CW on Thursday, introducing fans to a whole new world … one without Damon and Bonnie.

Episode 1 of Season 6 picked up four months after the devastating Season 5 finale. Elena narrated what everyone has been up to in the past couple months. With the Travelers' curse still on Mystic Falls, Sheriff Forbes is left to bust kids for underage drinking instead of identifying bodies. Matt joined a squad that works on teaching locals how to defend themselves. Jeremy has resorted to hooking up with random girls and playing video games as he mourns Bonnie. Caroline dropped out of Whitmore College to work on finding a spell to break the Travelers' curse, while Tyler enrolled in Whitmore and Alaric joined as a professor of occult studies. Stefan left town to chase a lead on a witch that has the ability to contact the dead although he has started working as a car mechanic. As for Elena? She’s going pre-med in her sophomore year to both do good and get the perks of blood bags and has resorted to witchy herbs in order to hallucinate Damon.

Jeremy, Caroline and Alaric have been struggling for the past couple months, but the herbs have allowed Elena to put off mourning her dead boyfriend. Instead she uses them to see, touch and talk to Damon. But there is a nasty twist to her herb use it makes her very thirsty.

Elena doesn’t think anything of her hunger especially since she has access to an unlimited blood bank. But Luke, who has been supplying her with the drugs out of guilt, knows that her herb use has to stop. The only problem? Elena’s not willing to give up seeing Damon.

“I’m not a drug pusher,” he tells her, cutting her off. But Luke should know better than to push a “hangry” and drugged-out vampire. Elena turns violent with him, trashing his room until she gets her next fix.

She gets that fix, but even hallucination Damon tells her that she’s acting insane. Elena tries to shrug him off, but she proves that her habit got out of hand when she attacks a stranded motorist on the outskirts of Mystic Falls. Fortunately Caroline showed up in the nick of time to stop Elena from killing the frightened girl, but that moment of surprise gave Elena’s victim enough time to flee across the magic protected border of Mystic Falls.

As Caroline learned about Elena’s drug habit, Alaric was keeping a close eye on Tyler who has had some serious rage issues since coming back from the dead. And it’s good that Alaric was acting as chaperone for Tyler … because he almost strangled Luke when he found out that Luke had been supplying Elena with witch drugs.

After getting caught by Caroline and receiving a rude wakeup call from Stefan, who admitted that he gave up on searching for Damon, Elena decided that she had to stop using the drugs and say goodbye to Damon.

In an emotional goodbye, Elena thanked Damon for saving Stefan and bringing back Alaric and Tyler. But she wasn’t done there. She also thanked him for giving her “everything” she always wanted – “a love that consumed her, passion and adventure.”

“This is the last time I’m going to see you,” she told him, closing her eyes. “This is goodbye, Damon. I love you.”

But Damon was still there when Elena opened her eyes. Elena was left with only one option – ask Alaric to compel her to forget about Damon, to forget that she ever loved him.

Vampire Diaries' Season 6 teases from show runner Caroline Dies

I'm not going to tell you much about the premiere both because it's a long way off and because many of the silent plot points are embargoed for the upcoming The Vampire Diaries Season 6.

But mostly, I'm not quite ready to give more than a quick gut opinion. I felt like Season 5 was frequently over-extended and repetitive, but the finale also set in motion a number of shifts which, if utilized correctly, could clear a lot of the clutter from Mystic Falls. In turn, the premiere is mostly resetting the pieces. How's Elena handling the events of the finale? Poorly! How's Jeremy handling the events of the finale? Poorly! How're Stefan, Caroline, Matt and The Witch Twins handling the events of the finale? Poorly! And how is Alaric handling being alive again and whatnot? Poorly! That doesn't mean it's a depressing premiere, just that there's a lot of flux and, unlike last year's premiere, nobody is wandering around hubristically talking about how it was the best summer ever. And what's up with Damon and Bonnie? Come on. You know I can't tell you anything.

But I can offer some hints about the season-to-come, thanks to "Vampire Diaries" showrunner Caroline Dries, who dropped by after the screening to answer some probing queries from the press.

I'm sure there are minor spoilers if you want to go into the new season knowing nothing, but otherwise... *** No more doppelgängers ever. OK. That's not exactly true, but I asked about the rather muddled web of doppelgängers, which at least theoretically was relieved by last season's climax. For now, Dries was reassuring.

"I just finished Episode 10. We haven't said it once in 10 episodes," Dries said. "In the writers' room sometimes we'll be like, "Ugh. Maybe this is a doppelgänger thing' and like, 'Nope. Don't say that word. Somebody think of a different idea.' We've been pretty diligent about that. And I'm pretty sure if we say it, it's just to make fun of it. I really am proud of actually the whole doppelgänger thing, but I get it. It's like, 'We did that story, so moving on...'"

*** It's sophomore year in college and that will be semi-relevant. One of the things that always concerned me with the high school years of "Vampire Diaries" was how little time people spent in class, but how high school remained in the background even when none of them had any good reason to still be attending. Yes, I'm concerned by silly things. Well, college was more relevant for the first chunk of last season and then was largely forgotten in the home-stretch. Well, at least in the premiere, Elena has even gone so far as to choose a major and she's attending several classes. And the Sophomore Year thing will also tie into the overall theme, particularly with Caroline, who is working overtime to reverse the curse/hex on Mystic Falls to allow our supernatural denizens to return home.

"It's important to her, like the town, it's more of a symbolic thing for her and less of a plot-drive, if that makes sense," Dries explained. "We were like, 'We could make this a storyline where they get a bunch of witches and they try to undo the Traveler Spell,' then we're like 'Then we're having scenes with witches and then we're doing spells and no one cars.' So we were like, 'Let's not make that the main story and let's just make it more of the metaphor for what they can't have, which is the ability to go home and be together and sleep in their own beds and stuff like that.' We've always kinda said it's like the metaphor for when you're in your second year of college and it's like, 'OK. Now I'm in college. My home is now where I go home on Thanksgiving or Christmas vacation.' It stops feeling like home after a little while and like, 'This is my life.'"

*** The college thing also relates to Alaric's return. And he's pretty messed up. Alaric is teaching Occult Studies at Whitmore, which I guess makes as much sense as anything for him to do. He's got new appetites, though. "He is a vampire hunter who was turned into a vampire, went crazy and then died. So now that he's back, it's like, 'Oh, he's gonna have some emotional baggage,'" Dries noted. "But he's also kinda an adult figure on the show. So as Elena's going through her drama and Jeremy's got his drama, it's like he can't just sit there and mope and cry about his problems, so he internalizes a lot of stuff."

*** Who can speak a language Matt Donovan can understand? The Maytag Man can. "Eureka" star Colin Ferguson, most recently seen as pitchman for Maytag, appears in the premiere as Tripp, leader of a local watch group that gives Matt something to do with his time, what with the absence of immediate threats on his life.

"He came about because we wanted to show Matt thriving in Mystic Falls without supernaturals," Dries said of Ferguson's character. "Every episode Matt is having his life in jeopardy or somebody's threatening to kill him or something. So it's like, 'What's Matt's life like when he can just not have to have a death threat every five minutes.' We kinda wanted to give him a father figure-type, coach kinda guy, so that's where Trip came out of. But it's Mystic Falls, 'The Vampire Diaries,' no everyone is who they say they wanna be, but he'll ultimately become kinda an interesting, layered dynamic character that's not necessarily a good guy or a bad guy. He actually represents I think like a normal person if you're not in love with Damon or Stefan, like a normal person's point-of-view on the whole vampire world."

*** You probably care about the love stories. Don't worry. Things continue. Well, Damon's off in the Wherever He Is. And Stefan's got his own issues. But Dries offered reassurance that "Vampire Diaries" will not be without romance.

"I can tease that we definitely keep the love stories alive," she said. "We might not play it out in a tradition way, but they will feel very satisfying. You'll have your moments of frustration where the fans hate us and then we'll have moments where they're freaking out and being thankful, so there's kinda like that push-and-pull that we do, but I think it's done in a way that feels fresh for a show that's in Season 6 and has had the same characters and this love triangle for a long time."

As the days are passing by so fast the vampire diaries makes us a little bit more confused about the upcoming season 6 as the poster is finally released. Do Stefan and Elena have something they’d like to share with the rest of us?

Mystic Falls’ most infamous exes are seen holding hands in the just-released poster for The Vampire Diaries‘ upcoming sixth season, which finds the entire cast in a state of chaos as “all spell breaks loose.”

Of course, the hand-holding might not mean what we think it does; after all, Damon and Bonnie are also seen linking arms, and those two can’t stand each other. And then there’s poor Caroline, who seems to have fallen down for some reason. (Don’t just stand there, Matt and Tyler. Help her up!) The Vampire Diaries Season 6 is coming this October 2, 2014.

The Vampire Diaries season 6 spoilers: Premiere photos featuring Candice Accola and Michael Trevino

The Vampire Diaries Season 6 is actually making quite the interesting move right now when it comes to revealing some of their first photos from the October 2 premiere. Namely, they are doing so without three of their main characters.

In the images that were released via The CW today, there was nary a mention of Paul Wesley, Ian Somerhalder, and Nina Dobrev. For the sake of Ian, it is understandable given that the producers obviously want to keep Damon’s current fate a mystery. However, what about Elena and Stefan? We already know where these two characters are to a certain extent, and it doesn’t feel like they have that much to hide.

Still, we are happy that the photos are shining a light on some characters that don’t always get the attention. We’re grateful to have more of Matt Davis again as Alaric, even if it is not entirely clear why he is spending some time now with Caroline . Meanwhile, Tyler Lockwood is going to be on a little bit of a warpath, but he finds himself in an interesting position given how often his supernatural powers have changed over the past few years.

By the end of this episode which is entitled “I’ll Remember”, you may have some answers to at least a few things that are on your mind right now. However, it may still be a while before you have everything figured out in terms of what these characters are going to do next.

The Vampire Diaries Theory Will Elena Turn off Her Humanity?

The Vampire Diaries Season 6 is only a few weeks away from its premiere, and viewers have a couple dozen questions they want answered. One big one haunting the TVD fan base will Elena turn off her humanity switch?

The CW has released a couple of promo videos for the upcoming season, and each one shows the young vampire struggling with the loss of the love of her life, Damon. The trailers feature Elena crying alone, acting reckless, resorting to violence, feeding on humans, and using drugs to hallucinate Damon. All signs seem to be pointing toward Elena shutting off her humanity switch in order to not feel the pain anymore.

As fans of The Vampire Diaries know, Elena has resorted to flipping her humanity off in the past in order to deal with the loss of a loved one her brother, Jeremy. After Katherine aided Silas in the death of Jeremy in Season 4, Elena couldn’t grasp that her last remaining family member was gone. In the past few five years, the teen had endured the death of her adopted parents, biological parents, Aunt Jenna and guardian Alaric. With Jeremy gone, Elena felt that she had nothing left to live for. Damon convinced her to continue living on but without the pain. After she shut off her humanity switch she burned down her childhood home, attacked humans and was a downright brat to her closest friends.

Elena already went down the no humanity path and is familiar with the consequences, so it’s possible that she won’t resort to shutting off her humanity again. Season 6 spoilers also tease that her feelings of grief will flip at some point.

“She’s a smart girl, and Elena’s father was a doctor, so she’s trying to figure out how to help people and save people, just as her family."

The Vampire Diaries Season 6 Update Ian Teases Upcoming Season and Nina Leaving the Show?

The Vampire Diaries Season 6 will premiere on Oct. 2 on The CW.

For the fans of The Vampire Diaries are counting down the days until the show's new season starts, and several spoilers have already been reported over the past few weeks. Recently, Ian Somerhalder joined in on the fun and teased a first look at what his character is up to on his Instagram account.

At the end of the fifth season, Damon and Bonnie sacrificed their lives to save their friends and loved ones. Fans were instantly worried as it looked as if that was the end of the beloved vampire, but Somerhalder revealed that Damon is still around.

On Sept. 5, Somerhalder posted a screenshot from the first episode and the topmost part of a script for season 6. The picture showed a TV with Damon on it, and the script on a raised surface.

"Wow, it's started! This is a screen shot. I'll probably get in trouble for it, from the first episode," Somerhalder captioned the picture.

"Hmmm, who am I talking to???" he teased. "Here I am, some post production work on Season 6 of The Vampire Diaries with our INCREDIBLE post-production team. The post-production team on this show is second to none—they, like our crew, are our unsung heroes of the stories on screen that get seen by you! If anything please thank these amazing people and show them some love! Thank you! Love, Ian."

Meanwhile, Nina Dobrev, who plays Elena and is Somerhalder's ex-girlfriend, is rumored to be leaving the show after the sixth season. According to Celebrity Dirty Laundry, Dobrev may be been tired of seeing Somerhalder parading his new girlfriend, actress Nikki Reed, on the set of "The Vampire Diaries." It is reported that Somerhalder and Reed are now sharing a home in Atlanta where filming for the show is currently taking place.

The Vampire Diaries Season 6 Update: Trailer Finally Released

The date is getting closer and closer and Im sure every TVD fans are getting excited for the upcoming season premiere of the series. Every fans of the series are don’t even know what could be happen in the vampire diaries season 6. Every Delena fans are having a heart broken when Damon left in the other side together with Boniie. Is Damon and Bonnie are really dead? If it is true every tvd fans are wondering how the story will go in the series since this two favorite character is dead in the past season.

Is this supposed to make us exciting about the "new turn" the show is taking? Elena is whining. Again. Like we haven't seen her cry for five fucking seasons already (and god, Nina has become ugly when she cries, she used to have a lot more grace to it).

Where the FUCK is Bonnie? This is the second time she died for Elena's sake, but does Elena even care? Helllll no, it's Damon, Damon, Damon, boohoo, Damon, lemme take some drugs so I can see Damon, boohoo. Hello? Elena, your best friend, who you've known all your life, just died again and all you can think about is the man whore who killed your brother about three times, raped and abused your best friend and attempted to kill everyone you care about at least once?

How about we see some more of Stefan? I'd say losing his brother, with whom he has had a complicated relationship (to say the least) for a century and a half is a lot more interesting than some stupid, self-centered snowflake crying about her boyfriend, whom she's been with for like six months (and in those six months they broke up about 37 times) and who has made her feel like crap basically since the moment he walked into her life, except for those three months she spent having endless gross sex while her actual soul mate was drowning for her sake again.

Where's Jeremy? Do people not realize that this is the third (fourth, if you count Bonnie's death in the season four finale as well) that this guy has lost his girlfriend?

And again, Julie wants us to pity Elena. She has to start understanding that she can't sell Elena as the heroine of the show anymore. You don't get a medal for fucking two brothers within 24 hours. You don't get a pat on the back for not caring that your boyfriend almost killed your brother AGAIN. You don't deserve to whine and complain and cry when all you've done in five seasons is draw the attention to yourself. You can't expect us to root for a selfish, self-centered, empty, no-brained person who goes completely against canon by having her have some ridiculous speech about how all she sees is a future with a manwhore self-proclaimed serial killer. That's not a heroine, that's a pathetic excuse of a woman. How about they finally let her have some backbone?

The Vampire Diaries Spoiler: Julie Pec Teases Season 6

As an avid fan of the vampire diaries expecting that the season 6 will be exciting as ever. The Vampire Diaries Season 6 premiere will bring fans back to a Magic less Mystic Falls. Season six will be the story of their battle between good and evil within themselves, and their journey back to each other to reclaim their home.

In addition, Executive Producer Julie Plec has some fresh scoop to share about Bonnie and Damon's fate, Alaric & Enzo's new role, the growing romantic tension between Stefan & Caroline, plus much more.

What is the fate of Bonnie and Damon?

Their fate is a mystery. The best way to sum it up is that all of our characters have had to come to terms with the fact that they are gone and have taken steps to move forward in their lives, for better or for worse, in grief or denial, and the question of when we see them and where are they and what happened is a part of the mystery in Season 6.

Where does Season 6 pick up? There's a substantial time jump which we're excited about. It gives us the opportunity to find these people again with enough time having passed that the grief has settled into a reality that is making them either actively move forward with their lives, spiral to a different place or make really bold and rash decisions in how they're going to live their lives without these people in them.

In reaching 100 episodes, were you looking for a way to completely change the series going forward? We really wanted to tee up the circumstance where we could really blow out the mythology of the series in the way it's represented and begin fresh. With a time jump, we could start telling very simple stories about our characters in a town with no magic, with vampires who have to hide that they're vampires and live their lives under wraps and create very new, powerful, but simple mysteries that take us back to that Season 1 feeling. We're excited about digging into our characters' emotional lives and playing that mystery and suspense and tension and psychological horrors rather than big extravaganza horror. The fun of tuning into the first episode will be to see where all these characters have landed, who they're friends with, who they're using as emotional support, who's not even in Mystic Falls adjacent or Whitmore and has each character has dealt with this.

What did Grams ~ Jasmine Guy mean when she told Bonnie she made sure she'd have peace? It's the biggest clue one can take in the finale as far as the mystery of what's going to happen next year. That was not an arbitrary comment and Grams clearly did something and the question is what.

Why did you decide to bring back Matt Davis for Season 6? All season long when we were talking about destroying the Other Side for good we knew that there were people over there we like to visit again and again. So it was our one final opportunity to either say goodbye to certain people or say hello again to certain people. We just did a random poll: "If there was anybody you wanted to see for sure that would devastate you to never be able to see again?" The two answers were Lexi ~ Arielle Kebbel and Alaric so we decided to make one devastating and one hopeful. The thing about Lexi is that she did a beautiful sacrifice for her friend which is really what that character was born to be that rock for Stefan. Alaric was created to be a guardian to Elena and Jeremy and if there's anybody who needs that emotional support right now it's Elena.

So will Elena really lean on Alaric in Damon's absence? He is a really beautiful circle back to that dynamic where he's going to be there for her as a friend and as emotional support. But also now he has to come to terms with what it's like to live life as a secret vampire. So she has something to teach him too. The Elena and Alaric friendship is something we're really looking forward to next year and I'm super excited to have Matt back. He's not only a fan favorite, but a cast favorite.

And Michael Malarkey is back as well. Malarkey is one of the nicest, most enjoyable people you'll ever meet and Enzo is wicked and fun and we're excited to bring him aboard next year. He'll be Enzo — stir up the pot, an enemy to some, friend to others, looking out for No. 1 mostly.

Lexi brought up the obvious "thing" between Stefan and Caroline. Will this be addressed? The one thing we know pretty clearly is that Caroline, in her heart of hearts, is starting to accept she has feelings for Stefan. In fact, we cut a scene in the finale where that was even more clear. I think she's finally admitting it to herself, losing him woke that up in her, the question is will Stefan reciprocate those feelings? That's what we'll have to explore in Season 6 and see where we go.

Any final things you're looking forward to next year? I'm frankly just really excited to tell good powerful character stories with these people we love so much and see them dramatically change in so many ways, and yet reset and find themselves in other ways. [We want] to really play this mystery of how they are going to live a life when none of them can come together at the Mystic Grill in their hometown without burning to death or whatever might happen to them. I'm excited to see the friends find their way back to each other.
