Game Of Thrones Season 5 Finale Spoilers Jon Snow, Cersei, Stannis And Plenty Of Speculation

The Game of Thrones Season 5 finale was inevitable. After 9 crazy weeks featuring deaths, controversies, undead armies and a dragon, "Mother's Mercy" closes this chapter of the hit series. While HBO has released a few details about episode 10, there are plenty of opinions about which storylines could be featured and if any characters could return to set up a "Game of Thrones" Season 6 plot. Let's get to speculating!

Following "Game of Thrones" Season 5, episode 9, "The Dance of Dragons," it seems likely we won't get much of Dorne or Daenerys in "Mother's Mercy." There may be some fallout moments involving Dany's deserted advisors dealing with the Sons of the Harpy and looming threat of civil war in Meereen, but will "Game of Thrones" show Daenerys landing in the Dothraki Sea and meeting Khal Jhaqo's khalessar? A scene where Dany arrives in an unknown location on the back of Drogon could be a great way to start Season 6.

Dorne's storyline has changed significantly and it appears as though Jaime and Bronn will be leaving with Princess Myrcella and Prince Trystane Martell. Based on set photos, Dorne will return in "Game of Thrones" Season 6, but what storylines will be featured? The kidnapping plot occupied most of George R.R. Martin's "A Feast For Crows" and the Dorne storyline in "A Dance with Dragons" could be featured on the show with a few tweaks. In "Dance," Prince Doran reveals he has been carefully plotting the demise of House Lannister and an alliance with Daenerys Targaryen. While Arianne and Quentyn are not in "Game of Thrones," Doran's plan could still work next season. Considering a lot of the plot relied on Young Griff and Arianne in the novels, the series creators could set up an alliance with Daenerys and perhaps a battle with a new character.

Based on previous "Game of Thrones" Season 6 casting news, Euron Greyjoy may be making his eagerly anticipated debut. If that's the case, the Greyjoys could be making an appearance in the "Game of Thrones" Season 5 finale. IMDB had the cast list for the last three episodes of this season. It correctly called the return of the Night's King, but Yara Greyjoy was nowhere to be found in "The Dance of Dragons." Episode 10 could easily find a place for a returning Yara and the death of Balon Greyjoy to kick off a Greyjoy storyline for next season.

We'll go into more detail about Jon Snow later, but the Night's Watch and Castle Black are overwhelmed with Wildlings. "Mother's Mercy," could feature plenty of scenes in Castle Black as Jon figures out what to do with so many people. It appears Ser Davos is on his way to ask for men and supplies, which may be difficult since winter is coming.

What will happen with Sansa? Fans have been hoping she escapes by the end of the "Game of Thrones" Season 5 finale and it looks like she'll be risking her life to save herself in "Mother's Mercy." Brienne and Podrick have been waiting near Winterfell for a sign and could play a role in her escape. Stannis sacrificed his daughter to the Lord of Light and he will be marching to Winterfell in "Mother's Mercy." There could be a big siege or a lot of interest smaller moments that will could lead to more deaths or Sansa meeting up with Stannis. In regards to the Boltons, will Ramsay survive this season? If he's killed, will it be at the hand of Sansa or will Reek/Theon redeem himself?

Much like Daenerys riding Drogon, Cersei's Walk of Shame for her crimes against the church was always destined to happen this season. Cersei will confess and will have a completely naked penance walk, but she may get some measure of revenge. Qyburn has been busy working on his mysterious experiments and that could lead to the introduction of a resurrected Gregor Clegane as Robert Strong.

Ser Meryn Trant is on Arya's kill list, but has she truly given up her past? The show is setting up his death at Arya's hands, but that means she has not become "no one." Based on "ASOIAF," Jaqen could blind Arya as a punishment and start Season 6 without her sight.
