Most of the fans of the Harry Potter series are just don’t have the books but rather they just prefer to watch the movie series. Harry potter series is now finally come to an end. The most expected movie of the year in 2011 is Harry Potter and the deathly hallows as the final and the last series of the film. In Part 2, the three main protagonists Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley will continue their search for the horcruxes. They are doing this by themselves because they do not want the main antagonist Lord Voldemort to find out. They will look for the 4th horcrux in Gringotts Bank and the 5th horcrux in Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The 6th horcrux will be the hardest to destroy as Voldemort has this by his side. Aside from the suspenseful search for the horcruxes, there will also be a war in Hogwarts so this film will be action-packed. There will also be a big revelation at the end so be sure to watch harry potter and the deathly hallows part 2 so that you wont miss the story and the action.
Do you here the word HORCRUX all the time in the story of the Harry Potter series. And in the last series of the film the story revolves in the Horcrux. So, what is a HORCRUX and why is it important?
A horcrux is any living or non-living thing that a dark wizard (in this case, Voldemort) uses to put a part of his soul in. If the horcrux is destroyed, the soul is also destroyed. Hence, a horcrux is usually protected by enchantments or curses. It can only be destroyed by a number of things like venom of a basilisk or fiendfyre.
In HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE, it was revealed that Voldemort, when he was a student, asked Professor Slughorn about horcruxes and in that conversation, he mentioned that 7 was a number that has magical properties. This led Headmaster Albus Dumbledore to believe that Voldemort made 6 horcruxes to hide parts of his soul and that the 7th part of his soul is the one that resides in his own body.
In HARRY POTTER AND THE SORCERER'S STONE, it was revealed that when Voldemort used the Avada Kedavra curse to kill baby Harry, the curse rebounded on Voldemort and left a lightning scar on Harry's forehead. When the curse rebounded on Voldemort, his body was destroyed but not his soul because of the horcruxes. As long as Voldemort has horcruxes where he has hidden parts of his soul, he can never be killed. This is the reason why Harry, Hermione and Ron are searching for these horcruxes. They need to destroy all the horcruxes for Voldemort to be killed.
