Anybody yearning for a brand new, extra-strong, God-like character in Once Upon A Time? Well, Season 5 Episode 13 should do the trick, as Hercules gets involved for the first time
Episode 100 of Once Upon A Time was a chance to bring back all the old favorites for one big, hellishly lavish party. Henry Sr, Sidney, James, Cora; the list goes on everyone who's anyone popped up in the Underworld to haunt Emma and her band of merry followers. This Sunday's episode will take a markedly different tack, however, as a well-known, much-loved character from Disney's heyday joins the fray: Hercules is coming. The trailer for Episode 13, called "Labor of Love," has been released, and it is Hercules heavy, that's for sure.
It begins with Snow and David peering over a grave in the UnderBrooke cemetery: "Hercules! He can help us," says Snow. Using some hoodoo voodoo magic , the couple revives Hercules' body, before Snow confronts him: "You're the only one strong enough to defeat them!" But it looks like Herc' has taken a knock somewhere down the line. Did Hades best him up on terra firma, perhaps? That's by-the-by; it looks like Episode 13 is all about Snow fighting her demons.
As our chum, Mr. Voice-Over Guy, states: "To rescue a lost soul, a princess must summon the courage to confront the guardian of the Underworld." Hang on a minute... The guardian of the... Oh crap, say hi to Cerberus! The three headed dog (that looks and sounds far more dangerous than Hagrid's Fluffy) leaps out of the shadows at Snow and Hercules, blocking their path to Hades. But will Snow manage to convince Herc (and herself) that they are capable of defeating that vile beast?
We've gotta admit, this is super exciting for the Oncers amongst us here at melty. We had a little moan that Snow and David had essentially become redundant to the show, but this thrusts the former straight back into the heart of the action plus add that fact to the whole 'Hercules-is-here-and-will-kick-everyone's-ass' thing, and "Labor of Love" looks set to be an absolute belter of a Once Upon A Time episode. Oh, and the other exciting clip from the trailer? Hook is there.
