Season six of Game of Thrones is quickly coming to a close, with episode eight set to debut this coming weekend. Titled “No One,” it is widely expected to focus on Arya and her ongoing fight with the Waif, as hinted at by the episode’s title.
However, the young Stark does not feature at all in the new photos released by HBO, the broadcaster keeping new information to a minimum.
One thing we do learn from the photos is that a new Red Priest is about to enter the show, played by Melanie Liburd, who has previously had roles in Runaway Island and How Sarah Got Her Wings. The last time we saw a Red Priestess, Tyrion was urging Azor Ahai's followers to preach about Daenerys to the people of Mereen.
Some have also questioned whether, in the photo of The Waif, Syrio is standing behind her (but that's entirely tinfoil territory).
The synopsis for the episode reads: “While Jaime weighs his options, Cersei answers a request. Tyrion’s plans bear fruit. Arya faces a new test.”
Meanwhile, with The Hound on the war path again the Brotherhood Without Banners, we’ve discussed whether Lady Stoneheart (AKA Catelyn Stark) may be about to appear on the show.
She is considered one of the most important character of the series because she is a Stark. I am really getting emotional in this season 6 as the Stark’s are slowly rising again after the devastating things that happen to them. With Game of Thrones season 6 nearing completion with only three episodes to go, HBO is keeping things very secretive, having only just released the title and synopsis of episode eight.
Titled “No One” - an obvious reference to the Faceless Men whom Arya was training with the plot will focus on Jaime in Riverrun, Cersei in King’s Landing, Tyrion in Mereen and, of course, Arya.
The synopsis reads: “While Jaime weighs his options, Cersei answers a request. Tyrion’s plans bear fruit. Arya faces a new test.”
Unfortunately, no mention of The Hound, despite his reappearance last episode and a brief glimpse of him in the episode’s preview clip (you didn’t think Cleganebowl would happen that quickly, did you?).
“Arya facing a new test” is by far the most interesting snippet, as this implies she is being tested by a higher power. Is this all one big plan by Jaqen H’ghar, a final test for Arya to join the Faceless Men? Or is this just a test of her personality and loyalty to her family?
Game of Throne Season 6 finale is coming just a few episodes to go and finally we are hitting up the season finale of the most watched television series all over the world.
HBO has released this week’s batch of photos from Sunday’s new episode of Game of Thrones, titled “No One.” The season’s eighth episode will feature more action at the siege of Riverrun, and a long-promised confrontation in King’s Landing.

Cersei will finally be choosing violence in episode 8. Will it be directed immediately and fatally at Lancel? Her cousin/former lover/enemy certainly is risking his life by trying to take on Cersei and the Mountain.
Brienne is back in action this week! With a Lannister flag behind her, you’ll note, which suggests that she’s arrived at Riverrun. A tense reunion with Jaime Lannister is overdue.
Tyrion and Varys have been missing as well these last couple weeks. Here we see them strolling the streets of Meereen, looking very much the noblemen this time. Everything looks pleasant and fairly calm, so clearly something terrible is about to happen in this place.
Happenings in Game of Thrones Season 6 are getting intense every episode but the most interesting things are the comeback of different characters that don’t have a confirmation if they are dead such as The Hound. It’s getting more and more interesting as the season finale is near to come. In the next episode of Game of thrones season 6 episode 8 entitles “No One” things are getting more intense and every character is on fire as the ending is near to come.
What is Margaery really up to? On the surface, Margaery Tyrell has seen the error of her ways and is continuing on the path to righteousness. Surely, though, the savvy Queen has a grand master plan?
In an earlier episode, Margaery was urging brother Loras, almost broken from his time in the dungeons, not to submit to the demands of the High Sparrow. Now, she’s apparently counselling penance and co-operation.
Last night, we saw her pleading with her grandmother to return to the family seat of Highgarden — but also sneak a picture of a rose, the symbol of House Tyrell. So, it looks like Margaery’s new found faith is all for show, and she really does have the interests of her family at heart. Perhaps she is playing a very dangerous long game with the High Sparrow. Having the faith militant on side can’t be a bad thing. Their popularity with the common people can only bolster Margaery and King Tommen’s position. Maybe the naive Tommen is in on the whole ruse (although something tells us he’s not that astute). One thing is for certain, it’s a very different strategy from nemesis mother-in-law Cersei, who seems intent on bulldozing through the faith militant.
Cersei chooses violence. Subtlety and patience have never been Cersei’s strong suits, she’s tended to employ violence, underhand tactics and working with unsavoury characters to get what she wants. So far, it hasn’t worked out well. Trusting the High Sparrow ended up with her being paraded through through the street stark naked for one thing. But the Dowager Queen hasn’t learned from past experience, and it looks as though she is intent on blundering her way through life with, quite literally, all the subtlety of an axe.
Next week, we’ll see Cersei confront her cousin Lancel, who is now part of the fanatical religious group known as the Sparrows. With faithful Ser Robert Strong (most likely a reanimated Gregor Clegane) by her side, Cersei insists that she chooses violence over letting Lancel and his sack-clad cronies past.
The words imply that she’ll be opting for a trial by combat, following accusations of immorality levelled at her by the High Sparrow. It suggests that Cersei has had it once and for all with the Sparrows. She’s already tried to use violence against them once this season, convincing Mace Tyrell to bring his army into King’s Landing but that backfired spectacularly when the High Sparrow out manoeuvred the two wealthiest families in Westeros.
A face off between Sandor and Gregor Clegane is looking increasingly likely. For weeks now, there have been rumours that the two gargantuan brothers would be fighting each other this season. Which is especially remarkable considering they were both written off as dead in season five.
In the trailer, the Hound is seen wielding an axe and is clearly on the rampage after the devastating destruction of the peaceful commune he had found refuge in. First on his list is probably the perpetrators of the massacre the Brotherhood without Banners. After he’s dealt with that, though, it wouldn’t be surprising if he was called upon by the High Sparrow to face Ser Robert (who many believe to be a reanimate Mountain in Cersei’s upcoming trial by combat.
Brienne and Jaime are on a collision course. Old frenemies and travelling companions Brienne of Tarth and Jaime Lannister will be reunited once more in next week’s episode. But it doesn’t look like a tension-free chummy reunion is on the cards.
Having finally arrived at Riverrun, Brienne will treat with the Blackfish. She was sent there by Sansa to try and rally the Tully army into joining the Stark’s attack on Winterfell. It looks like Brienne may be caught between her pledge to Sansa and her friendship with Jaime as she appears to be agreeing to treat on behalf of the Lannister army with the Blackfish. The headstrong Tully uncle will never surrender his family seat, so Brienne could be facing Jaime in the field very soon.
The most inexplicably talented lover in the Seven Kingdoms could also be in trouble. For a fleeting moment we everyone’s favourite pageboy being grabbed around the neck and dragged backwards.
Lady Stoneheart. It’s a theory that keeps rearing its head every season could a resurrected Catelyn Stark be making an appearance soon? In the books, Catelyn Stark is brought back to life by Thoros of Myrh and Berric Donadarrion who lead the brotherhood without banners.
In episode seven, it looks as though the brotherhood are running riot and are hardly the good natured band of fighters who were protecting the people. Could it be that Berric Dondarrion has sacrificed his own life to bring back Catelyn, as happens in the books?
In George RR Martin’s cannon, Lady Stoneheart, the nickname given to undead Catelyn, is mercilessly bent on avenging her family. This includes punishing Brienne for not rescuing her daughters, as the Lady of Tarth promised. Now that Brienne is just around the corner from Catleyn’s childhood home of Riverrun, this would be the perfect time to reintroduce the character. Caitlin also has beef with Brienne’s page, Podrick. As a former Lannister servant, he will hardly be in her good books. To make matters worse, Catelyn remained convinced that Tyrion was responsible for son Bran’s accident. Pod used to serve Tyrion. Things don’t look good for Pod in the new trailer, and Catelyn’s vendetta could explain why.
