Before it airs on tv Starz subscribers will be getting a chance to time travel… sort of. The premium network announced Tuesday that the premiere of Outlander season 2 will be available starting Thursday, April 7, exclusively to subscribers, two days before the episode airs. Such a special treat for those eager to watch the season 2 since all the write ups and pictures online is so interestingly beautiful.
The announcement comes on the heels of the network’s unveiling of a streaming service that allows subscribers to download episodes onto applicable devices, as well as an app that can be authenticated for viewing, for $8.99 per month. The service, launched Tuesday, is the first of its kind to offer downloading capability.
Subscribers can watch the episode on the Starz streaming app or Starz.com, as well as on other on-demand and online platforms. For everyone else, the 13-episode second season of the sci-fi historical drama based on Diana Gabaldon’s series premieres on April 9 at 9 p.m. ET on Starz.
