The story continue in France in the second installation of Outlander fans on the edge of their seat as a new character comes to town in the episode 3 of the series. Outlander made its triumphant return to TV screens on April 9 with a record number of viewers tuning in for Episode 1, "Through A Glass, Darkly".
Neilsen's figures revealed 1.46 million viewers tuned in for the 9pm ET telecast of the season premiere in the US - more than doubling the numbers for the Season 1 premiere of 721,000.
In the second episode, "Not In Scotland Anymore", we jumped back to Paris in the 1700s, with Claire and Jamie becoming hell-bent on infiltrating the Jacobite rebellion and stopping the battle of Culloden.
But in Episode 3, which airs this Saturday, a spanner is thrown in the works as their relationship reaches yet another hurdle.
"Jamie's days and nights are dominated by political machinations, while Claire finds solace in her healing skills," reads the sypnosis.
"As their plan to stop Culloden progresses, including engaging the aid of a young pickpocket, the past threatens to detail their forward momentum."
