The Walking Dead Season 5 Episode 11 “The Distance” Preview

The Walking Dead Season 5 Episode 10 saw our group in the worst shape they’ve ever been in. After losing Beth Greene and then saying goodbye to Tyreese the midseason premiere Season 5 Episode 9: “What Happened and What’s Going On” everyone seemed defeated as they struggled to find food, water, and/or shelter. Though the introduction of an astonishingly clean Aaron in the final moments of the hour seemed promising we know better than to trust a newbie right off the bat.

The promo for Episode 11 “The Distance” begins with Aaron being frisked by a very wary Rick and co. Rick even looks through Aaron’s things and finds what we think are photos of the prison. If that’s the case Aaron has been tailing our crew for quite some time. Maybe he’s even part of the group who etched those “Xs” into various trees…

You can trust me,” Aaron swears.

Rick shoots back: “We don’t know you,” which is totally fair given everything his family has been through. Within the promo we see shots of some members of the group walking on the road, others running through the woods, and Abraham Ford peering into a new locale, gun in hand.

Near the end of the promo we see Glenn Rhee plow through a horde of walkers as he’s behind the wheel of a car. At least we think that’s him driving. “This is a trap,” he says. Rick seemingly agrees stating, “This is insane”. “We need eyes in every direction,” Rick adds. “We might not know how or when,” but they’re coming for us.” What do you think of Aaron? Is he can be trusted? The Walking Dead Season 5 airs Sunday nights at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
